Summary
- In order to directly address the viewer: look directly into the lens
- If you’re talking for more than three sentences, fix your camera in a stable position
- Hold your camera at eye level, or slightly higher
- If you hold your camera with your left hand, place yourself on the left side of the screen, and vice versa
- Make sure you're on the vertical grid line, positioning yourself ⅓ from the side of the screen
- Position your eyes at ⅓ from the top of the screen, on one of the top intersections in the grid
- Keep the direction you're facing open
Exercise
Shoot an intro for a tour of the room you're in right now. Keep the length to approximately three sentences, and pay attention to your framing. Don’t forget to press record!
