5. Standing interview

Summary

For a standing interview, apply the same rules as for a sitting interview:

• Film with the direction of the light
• Lots of space in the background
• Camera at eye-level
• Zoom in to a bust shot
• Apply the rule of thirds
• Keep the direction the interviewee faces open

Exercise

Conduct a standing interview applying the rules above. Ask the interviewee what the artwork represents. Make a recording of about 30 seconds.
