Summary
A script is not a briefing. A script tells a filmer what to shoot. A briefing tells an editor how to edit the video.
Always write a briefing for your editor, for every project.
A briefing contains information such as:
- The target group of the video
- The maximum length
- What parts of the interview should really be included in the video
- The atmosphere of the video
- Any names and job titles of speakers in your video
- Which B-roll you’d like to see where
- Whether you need subtitles, and in what language
…and anything else that the editor should know about!
We have briefing templates available on the project page for your video on the Eddie platform.
